Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer/Portal Server Engineer Location: San Francisco Duration: 3-6months+ J2EE (FrontPlane/ presentation layer) Senior Developer The Agile Application Architecture (A3) development team is seeking a self-motivated, highly-productive, team-player, and 8-10 years experienced J2EE Application Server and Portal Server Engineer to join the A3 development team. Roles and Responsibilities FrontPlane (Presentation) Responsible for setup, configuration, and maintenance or presentation layer servers that include Oracle Portal Server, Apache Web Server and any other required application infrastructure components. Responsible for setup, configuration, and maintenance of Single-sign-on infrastructure that includes: Oracle Identity Directory server (OID), Oracle Single Sign On application, SiteMinder policy server, SunOne LDAP server and Microsoft Active Directory. CrossPlane (MiddleWare) Responsible for the health and operations of the J2EE Application Servers (Oracle Application Server components and SunOne application server components) Provide support for set-up, installation of tools into Delta Dental’s development and development and integration testing environments. Provide network administration for the A3 development team Assists with assessment, development, and support of the network infrastructure for the A3 architecture. Create performance monitoring plan including definition of metrics and troubleshooting processes. Database Set-up, optimization of physical database based on process needs of the integration architecture Maintain/administer physical databases. Back Plane(Integration) Support Tasks for CrossPlane developers Apply knowledge of application server setup, configuration, and administration to identify and support integration touch points and issues related to integration between the business tier (CrossPlane) and the integration tier (BackPlane). This includes but not limited to setup of messaging infrastructure in the CrossPlane Oracle platform. Knowledge of integrating using Web Services and Service Oriented infrastructure components between CrossPlane and BackPlane Participate as appropriate in troubleshooting of integration components Consult with architects to provide for adherence to architecture operational blueprint in collaboration with A3 BackPlane operations engineers and architects. Additional Roles and Responsibilities Infrastructure Architecture Support Tasks Assist in creating and maintaining the A3 deployment architecture. Assist in design and specification A3 infrastructure blueprints. Work with Lead Architect on A3 environment architecture (SCM, Change Management, Build process, etc.) Work with Lead architect on A3 SLA definition. Responsible for appropriate development and implementation of J2EE Operations Architecture Develop the plan for set-up, installation, and support of the Application Tools.
