I have a new opportunity over for a Middleware Administration Specialist
position.  

 

 Job Description:

The Middleware support team is engaged is all aspects of middleware
solutions: design, configuration, tuning and support of middleware
environments, consults with Application Architects and Developers on
middleware usage. Products supported are IBM WebSphere, IBM MQ Series,
Oracle Application Server (OAS), IBM MQSI, Web Methods, Jacada and
JBoss. The team also has responsibility for Configuration Management for
major applications. o Middleware environment design, installation,
configuration, tuning, trouble shooting, and support of Middleware
environments required to run WDP&R applications o Works with Application
teams to tune JVM's, JAR's, property files and application components o
Set-up property files, class paths, JNDI definitions, clusters, channels
and queues o Deploys application code into production o Configuration
Management

 Job Requirements:

o Demonstrated proficiency with multiple Middleware platforms and tools
(listed in order of importance): ? 1) IBM Web Sphere Application Server
(v. 6.0, 6.1, 7.x) ? 2) IBM Web Sphere MQ (v.6.x)? 3) JBoss (v. 4.3)
Programming Experience: Java - 5 years Operation System Experience: Unix
- 5 years / Linux - 2 years Hardware Experience: Intel/NT and Unix
Application Package Experience: WebSphere - 5 years, MQSeries - 5 years,
JBoss - 2 years and OAS - 2 years. ? 4) Oracle OAS/Fusion (all versions)
? 5) Jacada o Proficient with Middleware clustering: WAS, MQ, JBoss o
Experienced with Middleware operations and supporting infrastructure ,
such as databases, networking, UNIX, Linux, and NT servers, network
management, security, and monitoring o Good organizational skills,
detail oriented, thorough o Must have a positive attitude and good
interpersonal skills o Must have quality team building skills o Must be
self motivated and a self-starter o Must have good verbal and written
communication skills - all work must be documented o Must work well with
all staff levels o Willingness to provide quality customer service in
all activities o Must be a solutions oriented individual o Strong
trouble shooting and analytical skills o Must be able to balance
priorities on an ongoing basis o Willing to work a flexible schedule.
Night/weekend work is a requirement
