* * * * *Silk / Rational Performance Tester in IL* * * *Area: Systems Technology* * * *Rate : $40-45/hr c2c* * * *Function: Service Management* * * *Team/Component: Capacity Management - Reporting & Tool Support* The analyst will support these existing tools: * QARun * QALoad * Silk Test - primary current functional testing tool * Silk Performer - primary current performance testing tool The new strategic tools that State Farm wants the analyst to research and help drive towards implementation are: * Rational Functional Tester (RFT) * Rational Performance Tester (RPT) Responsibilities Include: - Subject Matter Expertise on State Farm's performance and functional testing tools (this individual will be the only person on the Performance Tool Support team who will own and support the testing tools for the enterprise). - Evaluation, gap analysis and recommendations for the RPT (Rational Performance Tester) and RFT (Rational Functional Tester) tools. - Contract negotiations (assist the Manager and TL with recommendations) - Expertise and guidance on how the testing tools are utilized - Functional support to the Test Analysts (advanced scripting, tool capabilities, etc.) - Communication and collaboration with product vendors (including product enhancements, customization, bug resolutions) - Testing tool license server management (managing and tracking number of licenses available at State Farm) Required Skills: - Senior level Functional and Performance Testing experience (Lead experience, 7+ years of experience) - Extensive experience and subject matter expertise using either Boreland (SilkTest, SilkPerfomer) OR Rational (RPT, RFT) testing tools - Advanced test scripting experience - Ability to train, guide, and support testing peers - Ability to evaluate and recommend testing tools - Experience working with test tool product vendors (Boreland, IBM, HP) to enhance, customize or implement the testing tools - Ability to work with very little guidance or supervision - Excellent written and oral communication skills -- Regards, Nidhi Frontier Technologies Llc.
