Location: WA
Duration: 3+months
Pay Rate: $37/hr on C2C
Requirements:
* 4 years Development experience
* Update XSL templates, adding new design & functionality
* + Worked with eCommerce Systems
* Creates and maintains pages with standards-compliant HTML, CSS
and JavaScript.
* Strong working knowledge of XLST, with the ability to create
new transformations from scratch.
* Proficient with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery and/or
Prototype, and experience with Ajax techniques, XML and JSON.
* Familiar with the implementation of APIs, such as Google Maps
and Calendar APIs.
* Works closely with online designer and copywriter to ensure
their layouts are being translated into html, CSS and JavaScript as
expected.
* Troubleshoots technical problems associated with assigned site
areas.
* Collaborates and partners with third party vendors that
connect to (or with) REI's sites.
* Responsible for training/helping Producer I and contractors as
needed.
* Serves as the lead between online creative, Information
Technology (IT) and contractors for some online jobs; mocks up front-end
code prior to passing it over to IT for code integration and vice versa.
* Stays apprized of changing front-end coding options and
techniques.

Hand-off mock-ups for web pages that require IT integration.

Third party technology partners
When projects involve third party technology partners, there may be
reason for emails and phone calls for successful integration or problem
solving. As needed

Required Preferred
4+ years experience in hand coding, proofing and troubleshooting
standards-compliant HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
