Job Title:* **SAS Programmer*
Location:* Raleigh, NC*
Duration: *6 Months*

*DESCRIPTION: *
• Develop data models, considering SAS as back-end, based on application
requirements and working closely with OSBM and application developer
• Evaluate and assess source data quality and develop data cleansing
processes
• Design and develop conceptual models, logical data models, physical data
models, and dimensional data models
• Design and develop ETL processes for target applications
• Maintain, support, and document data models, database implementation, and
ETL processes
• Work closely with Technical Team and Application Developer on application
design specifications
• Train clients on the use of the software platform and developed data
integration solutions
*KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS: *
*REQUIRED:*
* *
*• SAS Enterprise Data Integration Server*
• SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence Server
• SAS Enterprise Integration and Foundation Technologies, including SAS Java
API
• *SAS** Bridge** to ESRI*
• Business intelligence/data visualization (including OLAP storage and cube
creation)
• Data extraction from disparate systems, including mainframe CICS, Oracle,
SQL Server, SAP, etc.
• IBM Websphere MQ
• Sun hardware and Solaris 10 operating system
*Working knowledge and experience with technology including:*
• Proven work experience designing and developing business intelligence
solutions using the *SAS version 9.x Intelligent Platform technology*,
architecture, and resources
• Proven track record for designing and developing data warehouse solutions
for business intelligence
• ETL staging environment design, tuning, and development skills
• Experience designing complex physical and logical data models on an
enterprise scale
• Excellent source data analysis skills
• Experience working with GIS datasets in business intelligence solutions
• Strong facilitation, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills
• Proven problem solving and decision making skills
• Ability to generate detailed and comprehensive work plans and status
reports
• Ability to work with management at all levels in planning and implementing
data warehouse applications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline with
specialized coursework or work experience pertaining to *data warehousing
and business intelligence*
• Minimum of 6 years experience developing applications using SAS software
and/or other business intelligence technology or an equivalent combination
of training and experience.
• Experience in the field of work related to the positions role may be
substituted on a year-for-year basis
