Position Title: HP Operations Manager(Openview) Location: Bellevue, WA Duration: 4-5 months long contract Phone Hire, might be f2f, but not sure yet Job Description: We are looking for a few HP Openview (Operations Manager) developers to help build monitoring for applications moving into our new data center. The contractor will: *Document existing Openview monitoring for each application using the prescribed template. *Gather requirements for new monitoring and changes to existing monitoring from various stakeholders. *Using HP Openview Operations Manager, build templates/conditions to implement the monitoring requirements following established development standards *Troubleshoot any issues with monitoring after deployment Required Skills: *3-5 years experience building monitoring using HP Operations Manager (Openview)for Unix or Windows. Both a plus. *3-5 years developing Perl and Shell scripts to perform monitoring *3-5 years working with relational databases such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL server. Able to create and understand complex SQL statements. *Experienced building monitoring on virtualized platforms *Demonstrated ability to work in heterogeneous environments (AIX, HP-UX, Solaris, Red Hat Linux, ESX, MS Windows Server 2003, MS Windows Server 2008) *Demonstrated ability to interface with both business and technical customers and accurately document their monitoring needs *Thorough understanding of IT infrastructure, application, and service monitoring best practices. Understands how Openview interacts with other monitoring tools and its place in the overall IT ecosystem.
