Urgent need of Senior Database Engineer for 6+months contract at Murray Hill, NJ. Required Skills: ·At least 7 years experience in a Senior Software Engineer role. ·At least 5 years experience in data modeling. ·Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and SQA/SCM (Software Configuration Management) tools. ·Demonstrated ability to produce technical specifications with minimal supervision, and attend meetings answering technical questions regarding specifications. ·Demonstrated experience with OOA/D/P, UML, design patterns, frameworks, and tools. ·Excellent communication skills (including presentation, verbal, and writing). ·Demonstrated ability to work with other software engineers and teams to resolve problems. ·Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and require minimal supervision. ·Demonstrated experience in fundamental relational database concepts. ·Demonstrated experience in database design. ·Demonstrated experience with relational and object-relational mapping to business entities/objects. ·Demonstrated experience designing and implementing database performance strategies using indexes, table storage method configuration and query optimization. ·Experience importing to and exporting data sets from XML/MS Excel/CSV. ·Demonstrated experience decomposing functional use cases into business/data entities. ·Demonstrated experience interfacing independently with Product Management, other non-technical stakeholders and analyzing Marketing/Functional requirements to derive the relevant business entities, business rules and integrity/boundary rules. ·Expert-level knowledge in SQL programming and stored procedure development. ·The ability to acquire domain knowledge quickly. ·Experience with LAMP technologies. ·Fluency in XML. ·Experience with Oracle.
