* * *JOB TITLE: DATA MODELER*** Location: Midtown Manhattan Duration: 6+ months Rate:: 40-45 /hr *MUST come from the financial industry* – preferably investment banks – I really would love to see folks from Citi/JPMC/Goldman/RBC/etc… and they must have long-term projects. *Data modeler working within Entitlement Solutions.* The modeler will be responsible for the design and implementation of enterprise strength data warehouse to support entitlement the Firms strategic visions for Entitlements Management. The end state must support entitlements aggregation, complex organizational structures, entitlement review processes as they develop, segregation of duty management, on-boarding and off-boarding of employees, and provisioning of entitlements in various different downstream implementations. The warehouse must be extensible, flexible and integrate with existing data sources in a functionally consistent manner. The role will involve significant analysis of requirements and existing processes, the ability to understand and contribute to functional requirements as they emerge. Skills Required B.S. in Computer Science or Information Technology . *Experience developing large-scale systems, in the Financial industry * * * *Experience with formal data modeling techniques * * * Demonstrable strengths building a models with top-down approach *Understanding of LDM and PDM design considerations for various platforms * *Exposure to more than one Enterprise Quality RDBMS preferably Sybase, DB2 * *Erwin or equivalent modeling toolkits * *Strong SQL and Stored Procedure design, ability to be hands-on testing data model against requirements * Understanding of database performance characteristics e.g. effective use of indexes, locking protocols, transactional semantics *Database tuning * * * *UNIX shell or Perl scripting * * * SKILLS DESIRED Experience working with geographically disperse teams Strong written and oral communication skills Please call me if you have any questions.
