Database Developer on aProject Level Budgeting (PLB) project:
The PLB is a web-based application designed to support the needs of the
PGRD Finance Clinical Trials Administration group. PLB provides
functionality to support Clinical Trials investigator payments.
The candidate chosen to maintain PLB should have the following skills, at a
MINIMUM:
Minimum 5+ years experience
- PL/SQL and SQL
- including strong skills with DYNAMIC SQL
- exception handling
- strong performance tuning skills
Oracle 8i & 9i database structures
·
- Create and modify tables, views, snapshots, sequences, etc.
- Work with a DBA to performance tune wherever possible
SQL*Loader / formatted file load control
UNIX
·
- shell scripting
- proper usage of environmental variables
- file I/O
- log files
Java Programming and scripting
- Perl programming / SQL
- Good Analytical and troubleshooting skills are mandatory
Formal testing
·
- preparation of repeatable test scripts
- analysis of test results
Documentation skills
·
- Define functional requirements
- Detail design requirements
- Database layout and design
- Document programs as-built
- User Guides
People Skills
·
- Ability to work with the user community to
- Debug program problems
- Debug data problems
Experience working in a validate environment.
