Start date: 6/29/2009 - End date: 12/31/2009 with possibility for extension Location: Andover, MA Lead Business Analyst- Data Governance and Data Analytics Position is responsible for providing thought leadership and guidance to the Central MD Governance organization in the Healthcare Sector. This individual provides recommendations and assistance to the Director MD Governance in these areas: * Development and Implementation of Data Standards in the Material, Vendor, Customer and Finance spaces across all HC businesses * Governance workflows and ways of working to ensure communication and agreement across the business for standards and data quality remediation. * Evaluation of current state data quality for both master data and transactional data across platforms and businesses within the HC Sector * KPIs and Metrics to measure and track data quality * Investigation of current state business processes leading to quality issues and development of recommendations in conjunction with the appropriate businesses representatives for process improvements This person must be knowledgeable about business requirements and how MD is used by the different Healthcare business groups. In addition, this person needs to be adept with the tools of data analysis and must be capable of leading investigations of data quality. Finally, the position requires knowledge of SAP R3 tables and their relationships to facilitate complete and accurate analysis of data across the various HC kernels. Deliverables; * Lead data standardization in conjunction with MD managers globally * Understand MD management requirements and integrate with industry best practices * Develop, in conjunction with MD managers, remediation plans to solve data quality issues * Develop KPIs for data quality and specify them for implementation in a production BI environment * Perform data quality investigations for both MD and Transactional data * Assist TransPHorm initiatives with evaluating and understanding the quality of data critical to their initiatives * Coach business and IT on data quality requirements and remediation requirements * Nurture and facilitate communication across all levels * Define functional and non-functional deliverables / requirements * Assist or create o Security risk assessments, o Service Level Agreements o communication plans o quality plans o Stakeholder analysis * Coordinate closely with Communication/Change Management staff to ensure smooth implementation into the organization * Ensure that documentation is created, maintained and archived to provide a clear audit trail.
