Position: Project Manager with Telecom exp Location: Watertown, MA Duration: 3-6 months (Face to Face interview, Locals preferred) Description: - Responsible for planning and executing the implementation of Enterprise Messaging products for Client customers. - Interface externally with domestic and international partners and clients to establish messaging capability for new clients. - Interface internally with Product Management, Client Management, Service Delivery personnel, Engineering, QA, Operations, Customer Support and Sales. - Implement messaging products/services for external clients, including customer specific developments, initial connectivity, carrier provisioning, billing integration and certification testing. - Track progress of, and provide weekly status reports to clients and Client management on the progress of the messaging projects/services. - Manage project priorities to ensure contractual commitments and revenue targets are met. - Define product/feature requirements, or process enhancements for current and future needs to streamline client implementation processes. - Be the premier customer-facing image during the service delivery implementation phase. Required Skills: - Candidate will have at least 3 years experience as Project Manager deploying products in the Software Products or Wireless Telecommunication Industry. - Candidate will have a B.S degree in EE/CS. Other degrees will also be considered, depending on software integration experience. - Project Manager will be working extensively with the client managers, during the pre-sales, development, implementation and post launch handover activities. - Experience in or knowledge of Product Development is required because the candidate will work with clients that are implementing messaging products and themselves going through a product development lifecycle. - Detailed knowledge of the product development cycle and knowledge of typical issues faced during the cross functional implementation cycle and post launch support issues; are required. - Some knowledge of APIs, client integration to APIs and typical challenges faced during the integration process. - Basic IP networking knowledge, i.e., Firewalls, VPNs, ACLs. - Basic understanding the wireless SMS (Short Message Service), MMS (Multi Media Messaging); or text messaging industry, the premium content space and associated technologies terminologies. - Basic understanding of HTTP and Web Services. - Experience in or knowledge of Project Management is required because the candidate will implement multiple projects concurrently, chairing client project meetings, developing project plans, status reports, managing issues and prioritizing projects to meet project timelines. - Projects include rolling out messaging services/products to new customers, local and global carrier connectivity, business support processes. - Essential that candidate have experience to properly analyze issues to set project priorities, to exercise good judgement in escalating problems through the proper management chain, and to strike a balance between costs and benefits to the company, clients and the corporate profits.
