Position Title: ETL + Informatica & Oracle DB Developer Location: New York, NY Duration: 3+ Months Position Description: ETL & Oracle DB Developer 1) Will be a candidate with several years ETL experience, preferably in Informatica 2) Will be a candidate that possess a full range of Oracle skill sets. Designing tables, Creating ETL Routines, Tuning Queries, etc Summary: Participates in and coordinates database development as part of a project team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Reviews project request describing database user needs. Determines if project requires creating series of new programs or modifying existing programs that access data stored in databases Attends specification meetings with project team workers to determine scope and limitations of projects Reviews workflow chart developed by Programmers and Analysts to understand tasks db will perform; such as updating records. Reviews procedures in database management system for making changes to databases; such as defining, creating, revising, and controlling databases Revises company definition of data as defined in data dictionaries (information about data, including name, description, source of data item, and key words for categorizing and searching for data item descriptions). Determines and enters changes to data dictionary descriptions; including type, structure, and intended use of data within system. Develops data models describing data elements and how they are used. Creates descriptions to enable Programmers and Analysts to understand how programs should access data. Writes descriptions of how users accesses data; referred to as logical database.
