SharePoint (MOSS) Architect
Location: Rahway, NJ or Bluebell, PA
Key skills:
· 10+ years experience in the analysis, design, implementation, and
support of large
complex applications
· Demonstrated experience in SharePoint 2007/MOSS, both application and
infrastructure components, at a Lead Architect level
· Expert-level proficiency with SharePoint 2007/WSS and MOSS
technologies including web part development, site definitions and features
· Working knowledge of SharePoint 2007 installation, configuration and
maintenance
· Experience developing applications for MOSS 2007 including workflow
and InfoPath Forms
· Demonstrated experience with Microsoft .NET technologies such as
ASP.net, VB.net, ADO.net SQL Server, XML, C#, and Web Services
· Experience with enterprise database management systems
· Proven information architecture skills specifically related to
SharePoint 2007 data capabilities along with a thorough understanding of the
interrelationships among content types, shared columns, search, navigation,
information management policies, governance, and other data-related facets of
an enterprise SharePoint implementation
· Desirable: MCTS in some or all 4 MOSS exams, and MCSD in .Net and
preferably a MCDBA; or ability to pass exams at this level of proficiency
· Desirable experience in managing infrastructure applications.
Examples of infrastructure applications include: MOSS 2007, MS Exchange, and
LDAP/Active Directory
Responsibilities:
The architect will provide overall leadership, guidance and hands-on support
for the implementation of the Merck Enterprise Portal (SharePoint),
regionalized Team Sites (site collections) and Merck SharePoint extranet
applications based on SharePoint and supporting technologies. This position
includes strategy development and implementation, hands-on technical and
information architecture design, troubleshooting, and participation in multiple
support team groups.
