Qualifications: Minimum 3 years prior experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco network routers and large sized locations and enterprises Prior experience implementing and supporting Cisco LANS, exhibiting a proven understanding of: o Established enterprise routing schemes and protocols o VLAN requirements for proper management of varying user requirements and LAN services like printing Prior experience supporting Cisco wide area networks, frame relay technology and troubleshooting circuit issues is desired Must be able to manage WAN providers and the technologies to deliver solutions to failures Ability to handle a dynamic workload and prioritize projects & tasks Willing to perform on call support 24x7x365 Must have excellent troubleshooting skills and be very detailed oriented Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn on the job and through self-study Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must Experience supporting multi-vendor routers and switches a plus • *Hardware Support * – 600 switches, 2500 Wireless Access Points, 50 appliances (e.g. Infoblox, Niksun, Peakflow ) – 1 Campus (18 bldgs), 2 Data Centers, Remote offices (Regions, Area Offices, PC’s, PDC’s, VDC’s, TMA, PR )) – Cisco, Nortel, Niksun, Infoblox, Arbor, … • *Monitoring Support * – Netcool, CiscoWorks, Peakflow, Navigator, WCS, MRTG, Smokeping, Etc… • *Disaster Recovery & Availability * • *Support Profile * – 24x7, 365 Monitoring, Alerting, Hands on support – Local and Remote site support – Local Inventory Management (LAN/Wireless)Role Summary support complex wireless wide area network systems.
