Need locals only SQL Server Production DBA
Location: Sacramento - CA (LOCAL Candidates only). Contract: 6+ month's contract Job Description: 8+ years experience as SQL Server production DBA Proficient in installing, configuring, managing, performance tuning, monitoring and troubleshooting large SQL Server 2008/2005 Hands on experience and knowledge of high availability SQL Server solutions, including Log shipping, Replication and SQL Server clustering. On-call duties are required. Should be proficient in SSIS. Experience with web servers like Tomcat, Apache, and IIS a plus. Experience in a production environment a must. Proficient in Backups, recoveries, user accounts, performance tuning, troubleshooting and monitoring of databases for a 7X24 hour operation. Position calls for 80% production support tasks and 20% development. Provide technical service and guidance to other professional staff and management. Familiar with other software like Oracle, HP OpenView etc Other Skills/Job Responsibilities: Experience in a client/server, multi tier & web environment. Good knowledge of Windows is a must. Excellent communication skills Must carry a pager and be on-call. Should be flexible to work in different shifts.
