*Duration: 6 Months* *Rate: $55 to $$65 per hour * ******"International Convergence of Capital Measurement and Capital Standards, a Revised Framework" (widely known as Basel II<http://www.bis.org/publ/bcbs107.htm> )*** *Role Description* Provides leadership for the management, cost control, and execution of new systems development projects, enhancements, and system releases. · Able to visualize the end results and articulate that vision to the development team and the business stakeholders. · Leads IT, Operations, Client, and Vendor team members to achieve project objectives. · Acquires and maintains knowledge of Project Management processes, standards and methodologies. · Leads and responsible for one or more projects with combined budgets in the range of $1 Million to $3 Million, 20 – 50 team members, and medium to high complexity · Manages time and workload of team members, identifies and fulfils staffing needs · Provides accurate and timely information for financial management reporting · Prepares executive level project documentation · Develops client relationships and recognizes their concerns and business objectives · Works together with colleagues, management, and clients in a collaborative manner to achieve objectives. *Business Expertise* 1. *Risk Management experience required* 2. *Banking and/or Financial Services experience, combined with current technology experience, is required* 3. *Prior Basel II implementation experience desirable* 4. *Project Management Institute (PMI) certification desirable* 5. Demonstrates expert analytical skills, and the ability to quickly understand business issues 6. Project allocation may include multiple large, complex initiatives 7. Understands the business and industry environment of the clients 8. Able to develop a detailed understanding of a specific line of business *Project Management Expertise* 1. Formulates strategies and tactics for successful project completion 2. Establishes efficient work procedures, assignments, and monitoring mechanisms to meet objectives *3. **Understands risk-based project management and develops appropriate risk mitigation * 4. Independently manages project scope, risks, and issues 5. Independently manages project meetings as needed to drive projects to completion 6. Manages and coordinates resources across functional areas 7. Effectively delegates work to less senior project managers 8. Sets direction and coaches project team to ensure completion of tasks within time, budget, and quality standards 9. Effectively manages time to carry stretch workloads 10. Understands escalation procedures in a matrix working environment 11. Collaborates across the organization to identify and document project stakeholders 12. Clarifies, validates and prioritizes project tasks and dependencies 13. Demonstrates ability to work as part of a team 14. Provides guidance to LOB partners on project methodologies and processes 15.
