Title : IT Asset management business analyst
Location : Base location is close proximity to a major US airport.
Duration : 3 + months with a contract to hire option
Start Date : ASAP
The IT Asset Management & Configuration Management (ITAM/CM) Senior Business Analyst is a subject matter specialist in the ITAM CM space. They are responsible for performing an analysis of a client/opportunities current state (people, process & tools) such as gap analyis, gathering and documenting ITAM/CMrequirements, assisting the implemenation manager with project planning and designing ITAM/CM processes. The ITAM/CM BA should be well rounded in ITIL processes and specifically well versed in IT Asset & Configuration Management. The Senior Business Analyst requires minimal direction.
Tasks
Sales Support
1. Participate in Pursuit initiatives (e.g. Discovery, Due Diligence).
2. Perfom current state assessment and gap analysis
3. Design small single site ITAM solutions for customer environments
4. Supports Service Request solutions including quotations to account team/client for requested new/expanded implenenation initaitives.
Implementation Support
May facilitate or participate in Joint Archetecture Design (JAD) sessions
Works with Business Analysts to translate JAD session whiteboard processes and notes into Visio Processes, procedures and work instructions.
Design, construction and tailoring of ITAM / CM process deliverables in own areas of expertise
Point of escaltion for ITAM risk assessment during an implementation effort
Investigates, analyzes and resolves transition issues in own area of expertise, e.g. Processes, Procedures, Tools and provides input to a proposal.
Assists within managing the ITAM implementation project schedule
Adheres to standard practices and procedures in support of transitions and marketing proposals.
Research and review exisiting best practices that can be leveraged for the implementation
Collaboration with Transition Management, Transition Process and Pursuit Teams to ensure integration of all documentation and tools.
Work with key stakeholders / data owners to collect initial baseline data
Implementation Management
1. Leads Small Transition Efforts on non complex, single center using the standard service delivery models, but usually not involving transitioned employees.
2. Analyzes SOW; scopes, defines and manages deliverables, acceptance criteria, etc.
3. Determines gaps/conflicts in SOW to client expectations and mitigates with account team
4. Research and review exisiting processes and work instructions that can be leveraged for the implementation
5. Participates in the development of a master ITAM CM transition plan for the engagement.
6. Contributes to the development and manages to transition budget.
7. Participates in formal presentations to the customer.
8. Develops and maintains strong client and account team relationships.
9. Coordinates with solution developers and intended service providers to identify all start-up and transition tasks, and associated cost and schedule.
10. Performs/assists in the preparation of implementation status reporting.
11. Leads transition efforts through completion and account turn over.
12. Directs the execution of the master transition plan, and reports program management metrics back to senior management.
13. Tests and verifies performance of implemented technical solution.
14. Delivers the business and technical environment to the Account Manager/Service Delivery Team.
15. Manages and coordinates transition/implementation to steady-state handover with Configuration Management Team
Knowledge
Ability to generate swimlane process flows
1. Ability to translate visio process flows into procedures or work instructions
2. Knowledge of appropriate buisness tools including MS Project, MS Word, Project, Excel, and Visio. Clarity a plus.
3. Knowledge of outsourcing ITAM tools. e.g. ITSM, Global Remedy Asset Management (GRAM), Eracent (Discovery tools)
4. Experience and knowledge of Asset Management lifcycle processes and supporting Configuration Management processes
5. Ability to design process deliverables in own areas of expertise
6. Ability to construct and tailor ITAM/CM processes develiverables
7. Ability to construct Busines Requirements documents
8. Ability to conduct and document current state assessments
9. Construct training material
10. Conduct training sessions to provide knowledge expterise
11. Knowledge of ITIL processes required. Foundation certification a plus.
12. Project Management. PMI certification a plus
13. Knowledge of data analysis and reporting

Due to attrition of the Client Pursuit activity there exists a need and requirement for two (2) business analyst, with SACM skill sets, to interact with the client and business partners; to assist with pursuit activities; build process documentation; tailor process and procedural content; create WI requirements, assist with design and implementation of ITSM and ITIL related activities; and apply industry knowledge and skillsets to onshore and Rightshore teams as required

40%Design, construction and tailoring of ITAM / CM process deliverables to include Process, procedures, Policies, Guidance documentation, and requirements for work instructions.
Point of escalation for ITAM risk assessment during an implementation effort
20% Develops system implementations and designs solutions, and written and electronic content. Authors and tailors training materials and training requirements, perform UAT testing on all work instructions or other documentation as required to support internal or external partners.
20%Collaborates with Clients and Business Partners to assess, define, plan and deliver asset and configuration management solutions and services on required projects and initiatives. Provides assistance in solution design; transition and run states of projects to effectively migrate client from current state
10% Assist in defining and developing metrics, measurements and monitoring progress across multiple clients; ensures projects and activities are delivered on time, and that they meet or exceed client expectations and service level agreements.
Specialized/Practical Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of Asset and/or Configuration Management processes, procedures .
Knowledge of asset/configuration management, toolsets and process
Manage and actively participate and contribute to all phases of a project lifecycle, including cost benefit analysis, requirements gathering, test planning and execution, through to implementation
Background in ITIL or COBIT; Certification in ITIL preferred.
Management Skill: Highly effective people relationship skills with an emphasis on facilitation and conflict resolution. Ability to effectively communicate ideas. Ability to listen to other good ideas and consolidate these ideas into an effective solution.
Highly organized self starter with the ability to multi task with strong written and verbal communications skills and passionate about providing world class customer service.
The successful candidate requires no management responsibility at this time: however, applicants should be familiar with Asset Management and be able to plan, control, and communicate the status and impacts of programs or processes and will assist with program/process administration, pursuit activity, transitions and solutioning
Interaction: Interacts regularly with clients, business partners and senior leadership.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to speak and write persuasively and convincingly
Complexity/Problem Solving: The successful candidate will modify and enhance procedures within broad guidelines, makes choices from diversified and complex procedures, and may require judgment or interpretation of established instructions/guidance
The successful candidate will use complex analytical skills and analysis to extract specialized data for reporting such as trending reports, non-compliance of process reports, etc.
