Location: Pittsburgh, PA Duration: 6 months Must have strong Scripting experience: Perl, Python and TCL. The Software Configuration Management Engineer is responsible for creating software releases, administration and maintenance of the software configuration management tools, the environments and source code repositories. This is a Jr. to Mid level position within the Configuration Management team with the purpose of executing the existing processes and practices. Responsibilities: . Merging, labeling, building and delivering source code. . Document and maintain version control on all software builds. . Execute CM activities for various projects (customers) as well as support to both engineering development and production support environments. . Leverage tools by creating scripts, customizing, and automating usage. . The position does at times require on-call (after hours/weekend) support. Education: . Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in software development. Knowledge and Experience: . Candidate must be comfortable working in a linux environment as well as windows. . Desired experience with configuration management, and/or knowledge of the ISO standards for Configuration Management. . Familiarity with software development languages (C++) and scripting languages ( e.g., Perl, Python) and some experience with developing scripts to automate work. . Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written forms. . Ability to prioritize & organize work to ensure timely response to customers Please send candidates ASAP.
