DB2 Programmer Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: 12+ months Rate: Open PREFER LOCALS ALL SKILLS ARE REQUIRED Description The selected candidate will serve as a Programmer and Analyst on the UI Benefits Claims and Payments team. Primary focus of this project will be from a systems and functional perspective. Project will consist of application modifications and new development in UI Benefits systems which are heavily mainframe DB2 based. All online development will be J2EE utilizing IBM's Websphere. Advanced level skill in COBOL programming and DB2 required, Proficient in CICS, VSAM, HTML, JavaScript and JSP Minimum requirements: 3 years experience in DB2 2 years experience in COBOL maintenance 1 year minimum actual development experience in J2EE/Java 1 year minimum actual coding experience in HTML & Javascript Familiarity with Websphere will be preferential but not mandatory Core functions will include: Review and assess current business processes Document processes Identify project requirements Assist in development of test and implementation plans Assist in the development of customer documentation Participate in the analysis and development of online and batch processes Provides analysis, definition, and direction to computer applications related development and maintenance activities. Ensures correct business functionality, requirements, and industry standards are addressed within the computer application Develop detailed business user requirements, system documentation, and workflow procedures This position will perform the following: Review Technical Documents. Collect, develop, analyze, and edit Business Process Diagrams.
