*Title:* Rules Engine Architect

*Location:* Austin, TX

*Duration:* 12 months

*Rate:* Open



*Responsibilities:*

   - Provide *subject matter expertise* in the design and tools selection
   for a *new rules engine* to be used to enforce Medicaid claims payment
   rules
   - Perform design, build, test, defect resolution, and deployment tasks
   for rules engine
   - Prepares technical documentation per project standards
   - Ensures that built components adhere to approved technical designs
   - Performs testing per approved test plans and test cases
   - Peer reviews code and documentation
   - Participate in functional analysis and work directly with senior
   executive staff



*Required Skills:*

   - Experience with rules engines integrated with *Java or .Net*architecture
   - Strong experience with implementing rules in an industry leading rules
   engine such as *JBOSS Drools, Fair Isaac Blaze, IBM ILOG JRules,
*or*PegaRules
   * **
   - Minimum *2 project implementations*
   - Experience with Decision Tables, rule language and *Domain Specific
   Languages (DSL)* **
   - Experience with *how rules are managed* in a production environment



*Desirable Skills:*

   - Experience in implementing rules in the Insurance industry, preferably
   the *Health Insurance Payer Industry*.  Ideally in the public Health Care
   space
