Please send me the resume ASAP at [email protected] Title: Domain Architect Location: Richmond, VA Expected Duration: 4 months Job Description: The primary function of the Domain Architect is to provide data, application and technology consulting and leadership for the Corporate Solutions IT portfolio that includes Human Resources, Global Finance, Corporate Real Estate, Risk Management, Compliance, Audit, Legal, Corporate Strategy, Insider Fraud and other staff related functions. Responsibilities include: . providing data, application and technology consulting in pre-feasibility and feasibility discussions with IT team members and business partners, . providing technical leadership and guidance to the IT teams for definition and design work, . preparing project deliverables and documentation as needed to support Capital One's Architecture-related processes such as the Building Permit process, . leading the technical review component of vendor software package evaluation projects, . overseeing data and system integration work, . acting as a liaison with other architects (security architect, enterprise architect, etc.). The immediate need is to help the architecture team on the ground complete the integration work and meet the needs of the Risk Management/Compliance IT organization. The candidate should have a strong compliance background including knowledge of privacy laws and privacy preferences. The architect should also have experience using Casewise modeling tool. The Domain Architect will review and approve designs for IT projects. The candidate is responsible for ensuring project and team alignment with enterprise technology standards. The Architect is also a valuable business consultant; he/she conducts analysis of business processes and technologies to determine and validate the stated and unstated needs of the business unit and enterprise. The Domain Architect is expected to steer technology decisions to provide long-term business value, flexibility, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. The Domain Architect will report to the Director of Corporate Solutions Architecture that supports a group of more than a hundred IT professionals with a multi-million dollar portfolio. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: . Solid understanding of the enterprise architecture industry and trends . Strong verbal and written communications . Strong analytical and decision making skills . Ability to manage high complexity and high ambiguity initiatives effectively . Strong influencing and internal consulting skills . Ability to define, structure, and plan work PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: . Datamart or data warehouse experience . Experience in the financial services industry . Experience with business intelligence (BI) tools (eg. OBIEE) for reporting, trend analysis, root/cause analysis, correlation analysis and other BI functions . Experience with business process management tools and workflow solutions (e.g. Oracle BPM, Savvion, Fujitsu) .
