Position Title: Linux/Unix Server Engineer Location: NE/ NJ/ MD Duration: 9-12 month contracts Note: (Second shift position 3pm - 11pm) NE but could sit in Maryland and New Jersey. 1) Daily support and implementation for Unix/Linux production sys. Troubleshooting, work w/ other tech groups local and remote, update problem tickets, and take necessary action to fix. Participate in the design of UNIX and Linux based server solutions. Assist w/ tech design, provide support for proof-of-concepts and related lab work. Lot of the same as the previous position 2) Knowledge of Unix/Linux OS and SPRAC and Intel hardware platforms and the functions they perform. Expertise w Linux OS (SuSe and RedHat), follow a task to completion, EXCELLENT ORAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION. Ability to work on a team and independently Solaris background a plus.
