Need locals or who can attend F2F SQL Team Lead with min 10 y exp and Microsoft Certified Database Administrator
Location: Cranbury, NJ Duration: Long-term This position will lead a team of 3-5. Specific responsibilities include the following: * Architecture, scalability, performance, installation and configuration of the Microsoft SQL database platform and the Enterprise Wintel server platform. * The Engineer's main focus will be to support high transaction SQL databases for internet and internal systems and the supporting windows servers. * The individual will ensure that database platforms are scalable and reliable. * Ensure database logical and physical design, creation, implementation, maintenance, backup, recovery, and tuning are in line with industry standards. * Assist with defining strategies and standards, determining database needs and diagnosing problems. * Assist development teams and production support in diagnosis of problems. Qualifications: * Extensive experience is required with SQL clustering and Replication * Extensive performance tuning experience * Experience with physical and logical database layout * Experience with multiple SQL Servers and named instances of SQL Server * Experience with Active/Active clusters on SAN technology * Experience in the design, setup, installation and implementation of databases in large scale environments * Experience in routine data maintenance: re-indexing, integrity checking, database shrinking, log file monitoring, Dynamic Management Views (DMV) * Experience in performance tuning: indexing, compression drive distribution & load balancing. * Extensive knowledge of T-SQL (procedures, triggers, functions) * Ability to document and implement SQL Server Disaster recovery models * Experience with Back-ups, Restores, jobs, alerts, and processes on SQL Server * Experience with database and server security * Knowledge of TCP/IP concepts * Knowledge of Microsoft programming languages and concepts * Ability to write and maintain SQL coding standards * Familiar with SAN (Storage Area Network) * Familiar with server virtualization * Need Microsoft Certified Database Administrator * At least 6 years experience in Microsoft SQL Server databases * 3+ years Server administration including * 3+ years Server, LAN, and WAN support problem management.
