*Voice Network Eng* *Location :Midtown, Manhattan - local candidates...* *6 months* *financial clients exp MUST* In the role of Voice Network Engineer (Operations) you will work with the team to maintain and support the global voice network. You will provide network engineering and support skills to the region and work to meet business needs while maintaining established network standards. * * *RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:* *Initiating, implementing and managing network changes for support or business requests *Working as a lead technical voice resource on operational tasks within the region *Providing network consultancy to other IT teams if and when required *Maintaining and implementing the environment in accordance with established standards *Building and updating network documentation *Capacity planning & management (including proactive circuit utilisation analysis) *Assisting to maintain existing network monitoring and management platforms *Performing maintenance work following coordination with affected businesses *Assisting in the development and execution of the team’s BCP/DR design and plan *Appropriately using network monitoring and management platforms *Assisting in vendor management in the operational space *Performing background investigation to aid in any technical consulting functions *Developing technical and financial options for presentation to businesses *Escalating and handing off network support functions if and when appropriate *Providing technical guidance for less experienced engineers *Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role. They must have initiative and be comfortable working in a changing environment. In addition candidates must be able to perform under time pressure, be part of an on call roster and regularly work out of normal business hours, often with little notice. *This role is ideal for self-starters who thrive off autonomy and are good at seizing opportunities.
