Please submit suitable resumes ASAP. *Note: Consultant must have Insurance Experience and should be local* *Job Title:** Sr. Ab-Initio Developer with Insurance exp* *Location: Jersey City, NJ* *Duration: 12 Months* *Rate: Open* * * *Job Description:* Ab-Initio developer with about 5 years experience is required for work on an enhancement for the Adjustment Module System (AMS), an application which automates data collection, calculation, and bill generation for retrospective adjustments of contracts sold by Chartis Insurance. The batch portion of the system is developed using Ab Initio. The front-end user interface is Java-based. The enhancement will add new user interface functions related to the allocation processing of the premiums being adjusted. In essence, more data granularity is being introduced. The new functions will impact the related batch processing which performs the calculations and aggregates the results. In addition, we will have to convert the existing data to accommodate expanded data structures. The developer will be responsible for performing the analysis of the changes / additions to the AMS batch programs and the conversion. He will develop and test the code and support the implementation effort. To be proficient, the developer must learn the existing code and data structures and also understand the interactions with the UI. He will need to collaborate with coworkers to understand a highly complex calculation engine, not a typical ETL application. *Qualification Requirements: * - Excellent analytical skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Experience with database relational models, stored procedures, and views.
