Title: Java Web Developer with Sybase Experience.

Location: New York

Contract: 12+ Months Contract Position

Rate: 50/hr 

 

Leading investment bank is in need of a Java web developer for development
on Internal Audit Technology*s systems. Entails design, development, support
and enhancements to new and legacy applications used by Internal Audit (IA).

 

Required Skills: 

Java/ J2EE, Apache Tomcat, Spring, Struts, Hibernate, JavaScript, AJAX,
Junit, Ant,UDB, Sybase, UNIX, Linux, Eclipse, GoF, Design Patterns

 

Principal Responsibilities: 
Development of IA*s new strategic applications platform and legacy web
applications 
Production support on both new and legacy applications, which includes
coordinating with 3rd party vendors and providing support for IA users
globally 
Co-development with 3rd party vendor 
Work with analyst to understand and inquire about requirements 
Develop technical design and specifications from business requirements 
Occasion work out-side of normal business hours for system rollouts and
support 
Unit and integrated systems testing 

Required Technical Skills: 
5-8 yrs of Java/J2EE development on presentation tier and back-end system
components 
Open Source frameworks/products: Apache/Tomcat, Spring/Struts,
Hibernate,JavaScript/AJAX,JUnit, ANT 
O/S: Linux/Unix 
Database: UDB is a must and/or Sybase 
Others: Linux/Unix scripting, Eclipse IDE, MS Office 
Familiarity with GoF and J2EE Design Patterns 

Desirable Skills: 
JasperDecisions/JasperServer 
Experience in the financial industry, specifically internal audit
