I just updated our role description, changing the final sentence to read "Candidates whose primary backgrounds or career goals emphasize report writing, application implementation, or systems architecture will likely not be a good fit." There were a few submissions that emphasized architecture and one whose primary background looked to be application implementation. Please submit accordingly Here is an Offer in Denver. Data Analyst-081709 Summary: Location: Denver, CO On a scale from 1-7, 7 being the highest, communication must be at a 5 for both verbal and written End date is TBD...what is listed is only a estimated date Description of Services: Data analysis against multiple, large-scale financial systems, leveraging published and unpublished business rules, in addition to the analyst's own intuition and creativity. Solid RDBMS and SQL knowledge (PL-SQL preferred) is mandatory. Strong data analysis skills, including data profiling and application of business rules to data, are mandatory. Desirable experience also includes: Toad or SQL-plus utilities, ETL or data migration, application development in Oracle or SQL Server, large data sets, large systems integration, and analysis of complex business operations. Minimal client interaction and presentation skills required. Candidates whose primary experience is report writing will likely not be a good fit.
