Description

Provide technical leadership to ISS development teams to construct
architecture-based processes, tools and techniques. Design, develop, and
maintain working architecture models that demonstrate preferred techniques
for integrating system tools and infrastructure. Assist in application
design, development, and troubleshooting. Evaluate, select, integrate, and
implement new system architectures, tools and techniques. Lead project team.
Job requires a Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline or
an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable
knowledge and skills may be acquired; ten years experience in designing,
developing, and implementing large and small software development projects;
experience with the full software development lifecycle along with advanced
programming project management experience; and specialized training or
certification in appropriate technologies (e.g. Unix-based systems, data
modeling/management/design/analysis, Oracle SQL, JAVA scripts/HTML, PERL,
SAS/Internet web design).

Problem Manager

Responsible for managing the daily operations of the Problem Management
process.

Duties to Include:

• Manage a team to mature the existing reactive problem management process
to one more in line with industry best practices.
• Develop a proactive problem management process.
• Establish a Known Error Database.
• Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and
evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
• Acts as an escalation point for Problem Management team lead.
• Regularly interacts with intradepartmental and interdepartmental teams to
ensure problem resolution.
• Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters
concerning problem management activities, risks and recommended activities
that will prevent production failures.
• Develop and report problem management metrics.

Education/Experience Requirement:

• College Degree or equivalent experience. Typically has 10 + years related
experience and a minimum of 4 years management experience. ITIL Foundation
Certification preferred.
