Job Title : Sr Interface Designer Location :Jersey City, NJ Duration : 6+ Month Contract Rate : Open I currently have 6 month (with possible extensions) contract position for a Sr Interface Designer (User Experience) in Jersey City, NJ. MUST SEND AN ONLINE PORTFOLIO ALONG WITH RESUME. The Senior User Interface Designer will successfully demonstrate innovative and strategic design skills to deliver a consistent user experience for transactional web pages, data intensive applications, and other products and services offered. The ideal candidate will be smart, communicative, collaborative, and a highly creative problem-solver with a passionate eye for aesthetics to join our growing team. Responsibilities: Work closely with interaction designers and developers to provide input to the interaction wireframes/approach. Deliver branded mockups with graphic design specifications (layout rules, typography annotations), describing user interfaces for individual projects/products. Design, create and optimize graphical assets, typography, and layout within the parameters of the digital realm. Provide input to our guidelines for user interface design, visual design, and branding. Analyze and translate usability research findings into design improvements. Partner successfully with development teams, strategy, marketing, other user-interface professionals and customers to design and test products. Required Skills: Proven communication and organization skills; ability to work well in team setting. Leadership skills, ability to drive teams to consensus and the ability to work independently. Experience illustrating, and/or directing the creation of, iconography is a plus. Strong skills in rapid iterative design through Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash. Experience with OmniGraffle and DreamWeaver a plus. Ability to create low-fidelity prototypes using technology such as HTML/CSS, JavaScript and/or Flash ActionScript a plus. Expert knowledge of interface design standards and best practices Interactive agency experience is a plus An online portfolio of samples must be presented for review # of Years Required: Minimum of 6 years as a key interactive designer for e-commerce/web applications and/or desktop software.
