Software Engineer, Social Media Java Portlet Developer
This is a 6 month+ contract position. The ideal candidates are a Senior Java
Portlet J2EE software engineer with solid experience in Social Media and
Social Networking with a strong understanding of Financial Services desired.
To join our Product and Technology teams to innovate, design and build a
next generation, break through customer experience Financial Social Media
platform for the Financial Services Space. We are seeking a candidate that
is well versed in JSR 168 and JSR 286 Portlet specifications. Have strong
experience in Java, J2EE, Java Server Faces (JSF), struts, and spring
frameworks, JavaScript, SQL and XML, advanced Java debugging skills. Web
Services experience in a high availability environment with Apache Tomcat
and/or JBOSS. Has a strong familiarity with working in a UNIX environment.
Portal Server Experience: Preferred: LifeRay Portal or a JSR168/286
compliant Portal Server.
Position Requirements
" Bachelors Degree required, BSCS preferred.
" Seasoned professional with solid relevant experience in Internet
Technologies, Java, J2EE, Web2.0 and Social Media.
" Have at least 5-8+ years of J2EE Development.
" 2+ years LifeRay experience developing portlets.
" Relevant experience with JSP, Servlets and SOAP-based Web Services.
" Prefer that candidate have 2+ years with JavaScript including AJAX,
experience with Jquery a major plus.
" Must be proficient in creating Portal WCM components, portal themes and
skins.
" Well versed in JSR 168 and JSR 286 Portlet specifications.
" SQL, JDBC, SOAP and XML,
" Maven and/or Ant experience,
" Creative thinker, self-starter, able to work on multiple projects
simultaneously.
" Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
