Position Title Tester Priority High Primary Skill Testing Other Skills *Rational ClearQuest * Start Date 08/24/2009 Duration 4 Months Position Type Contract Location WALLINGFOR, CT Description *Need Local * For assigned products, become the product expert to develop both product specification in a Product Analyst role and to certify the product changes as a Quality Analyst. Working directly with Marketing, our customers and Requirements Analysts to proactively document product specifications for assigned products. For each release and each feature, meet with team to lead design discussions and influence design decisions that support customer needs while economizing on development and testing activities. Collaborate with other product teams as appropriate to ensure consistency of design across products where appropriate. Document agreements, define specifications in DOORS, lead formal reviews of the specifications and work to to refine and clarify before passing to the engineering team for coding. Train Customer Support on product changes prior to each release. Work with Technical Writing to develop documentation for our clients. Act as focal point for any production issues by trying to recreate in our test environment to determine if a defect or a usability issue and coordinate with team to ensure timely response to customer. Oversee product beta-testing, work directly with clients to gather their feedback and issues and coordinate with the team to ensure prompt resolution to issues uncovered during the beta release period. Participate in daily team meetings to report progress and collaborate in support of release deadlines with quality and timeliness. Lead retrospective reviews at the end of each sprint. Provide technical assistance to external customers and train internal support staff to troubleshoot mainframe client inquiries. Work with the team to evaluate effectiveness of current customer facing deliverables including all user documentation. As a Quality Analyst, develop test scenarios, test data and execute and analyze results to ensure a quality deliverable to our clients.
