Position: Senior Financial Advisor, Financial Planning &
Analysis
Reporting to: Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis
Location: Toronto, Ontario
Duration: 6+ months
Rate: Open (Should be in Canadian Dollars Only)

Accountabilities:
Scope: Provide key support to the Manager, Financial Planning &
Analysis in the development of the Corporate business plan and related
processes.
· Develop business planning instructions and guidelines.
· Perform a detailed review of business planning assumptions,
regulatory requirements, emerging issues and trends, and consolidated
results.
· Consolidate and analyze the financial results, including
impact of new or revised assumptions, compliance with guidelines, and
explanation of variances.
· Review business plan submissions and spending proposals of
operational and other business units, including staffing proposals.
· Support the business planning reporting process to the Board
of Directors, Province of Ontario and other stakeholders.
· Support regulatory requirements, including preparation of
evidence, development of briefing material, responses to
interrogatories and general hearing support.
This role will:
Develop the business planning instructions and guidelines.
Coordinate with operational and other business units to ensure
business planning guidelines are satisfied.
Partner with client Asset Management group to assess key inputs to the
plan and obtain explanations of variances.
Participate in the reporting process to the Board of Directors,
Province of Ontario and other stakeholders.
Develop and manage effective working relationships with operating and
other business units.
Technical Knowledge:
8-10 years of working experience, acquiring an in-depth knowledge of
financial planning and analysis, financial modeling, and accounting
and financial reporting.
Information technology and database management related to financial
modeling.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience with the overall operation, functions of major
organizational groups and a thorough understanding of subsidiary
structure and business model of the organization.
Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or Commerce with an
accounting or finance major, plus a post graduate designation (e.g.
MBA, CA, CMA, CGA) or equivalent education.

Technology Experience:
Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio,
Outlook, etc…), with an advanced knowledge of Excel.
