Job Title: Sr. Teradata DBA Location: Richmond, VA Duration: 12 Months Contract - Looking for a strong Teradata DBA and must must be strong in Teradata!! - Must be a strong THINKER, and not just a DO-ER! Has to have someone that is more heads up instead of heads down. So, he's looking for someone that can take a conception and implement it! - Interview questions would be some questions like "How do you do that in Teradata?", but some of the questions will be more LOGICAL thinking questions to make sure the candidate is a THINKER. Also, it will be a team interview if we get candidates an interview! - Would be nice to have a secondary skill set from Teradata, like Oracle or SQL Server - Needs to see ERWIN tools on the resume too!! - MUST be able to handle multiple projects at the same time!! - Previous BANKING experience would rank a touch above Capital One experience (He said if they didn't have either, but had some insurance or marketing client background, then that would be good too) - Looking to start someone at the end of August, so having interviews take place next week - They will start in US Card for a month or so, and then move over to multiple BANK projects as they get situated - A big part of this position is to be able to create a very SOLID DESIGN DOCUMENT for the team as they will be passed through your peers and then to architectural review! ********* Ultimately, we MUST have someone that has STRONG Teradata DBA experience, and must be a heads up thinker who can take a concept and implement it into the project!!
