Job Position: Network Security Analyst with Appscan Location: Melville, NY Duration: 3+ month contract to hire ONLY US CITIZENS, GC's and EAD's Job Description: Network Security Analyst with experience with Appscan. You will be conducting technical web-application security assessments. Use Appscan and other security tools to perform in-depth application security testing. Results of the testing will be communicated effectively with the application development team. Promote awareness of OWASP principles and other relevant best information security practices. Maintain integrity and confidentiality of client information by ensuring appropriate standards are in compliance with department standards and procedures. Maintains the information security environment and reports security violations. Correlate events and provide reports. Provide network troubleshooting of routers, servers and IDS. Performs additional job duties as required Required Skills: - Minimum of 2 years experience as a Security analyst conducting open source technical web-application security assessments. - Experience promoting OWASP principles. - You must have excellent written and verbal communication!! - CISSP Certification a plus! - Familiarity with web development languages a plus! - Strong Experience troubleshooting Network security fundamentals - Candidate must be highly ethical and act honorably, honestly, responsibly, and legally. - Candidate must be able to weigh business needs against security concerns and articulate issues to customers and management - Candidate must have strong analytical, technical, and problem solving skills.
