Job Title: Application Architect with Capital Market, Trading, Investments Experience Location: Jersey City, NJ Duration: 12 Months Rate: $85/Hr. Client: AIG Description: The Application Architect/Development Manager is a leadership role that will provide guidance and architectural oversight to create well-defined solutions that are aligned to the IT Strategy and leverage defined best practices, standards, common solutions and services. The individual will also lead and manage a team of senior software developers. The individual responsibilities include resource and project planning, managing the development schedules, leading and managing the architecture governance process, setting standards, guidelines and best practices, reviewing architecture alternatives, performing technical evaluations and developing architectural artifacts. Required Skills: * Minimum 10 years experience including 5+ years as an applications developer/manager and 4+ years as an Application Architect in Capital Markets * Strong record of experiences in the Capital Markets business * Strong management and project management experience. * Knowledge of Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) * Solid Expertise in a broad range of Web and rich client development technologies (Microsoft.Net, XML, Web Services etc.) * Expertise in relational database management systems (Oracle, SQL Server) * Solid expertise with Integration technologies (WebSphere MQ, IBM DataStage, EAI Tools) * Extensive experience in developing architecture artifacts, design artifacts, analyzing, defining and documenting requirements for data, processes and interfaces with internal and external systems. * Able to perform application architecture, design and code-level reviews * Strong understanding of OOAD, UML models, design patterns and application development processes and practices * Broad understanding of infrastructure technologies (Operating Systems, security, network, High Availability, storage etc) * Team player * Exceptional analytical, enterprise-minded and innovative problem-solving abilities * Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills Desired Skills: * Experience with Financial Data Models * Experience with Trading Systems * Experience with Investment Accounting Systems Feel free to call me or mail me if you need any assistance.
