Roles Description:
Software Practice supports the following categories of service delivery:
* SOA/Business Integration Services, Application Development,
Collaboration & Communication, Portal & Web Services, Mobility Services,
Identity Management, Desktop Deployment
Functional Responsibility:
* Responsible for developing, documenting and testing application
and/or system software programs based on design specifications.
* Explaining the factors to consider when developing client
components for an application that is compliant with architecture such as
J2EE.
* Developing and testing software.
* Configuring the software services.
* Debugging software modules.
* Performing systems tests, regression tests, integration tests, and
acceptance tests.
Demonstrated Skills and Knowledge:
* Knowledge of specified software architecture such as Java, J2EE
(EJBs, Servlets, JSPs, JNDI, JMS, JTA, JDBC, JSP, XML) or systems
programming using inter-processor communication, shared memory , library
calls, blocking, etc.
* Knowledge of Java programming and J2EE technologies, including
Best Practices.
* Knowledge of Java, OO, distributed computing, CORBA.
* Knowledge of J2EE design patterns and core APIs.
* Experience in software project life cycle.
* Knowledge of software architecture and design methodologies,
including UML, Rational Unified Process (RUP). Experience in web technology.
Knowledge of software testing includes:
* creating test plans and test cases for each phase of the testing
cycle;
* using techniques such as white box, black box, boundary, load, and
stress testing, unit testing a module or low level object;
* testing a component or similar grouping of objects;
* Performing systems tests, regression tests, integration tests, and
acceptance tests.
