Client: Fannie Mae Phone + Face to Face The candidate will be responsible for creating test scripts/cases/data, executing test scripts, reporting, and participating in status calls. Must maintain a close, proactive working relationship with the business and development teams. The need to be detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills and be able to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment is a must. Responsibilities: . Perform quality assurance analysis and testing on an Enterprise-level web application for the mortgage industry. . Focus of the effort is on batch process modules, UI screens, and Reports. . Proficient in Mercury's tool suite (Test Director/Quality Center, QuickTest Pro, LoadRunner) . Recent experience coding VBA (Visual Basic for Access) in Excel 2003. . Strong SQL skills. . Work with development, QA, and Automation engineers to research, design, and develop complex test automation units. . Integration of individual test units into overall test suites. . Provide design documentation for the test automation projects. . Participate in the technical review of test automation project deliverables. . Participate in product feature design discussions that require test automation. . Provide the first level of support for the automation framework and test automation units. . Strong team-oriented, interpersonal, and communication skills. . Work with the Automation Infrastructure engineers to improve and enhance the existing automation framework. . Maintain the automation lab and equipment. . Maintain the test environments (e.g., data loads, database backups, restarting the servers, requesting deployments, troubleshooting issues). . Enter and track defects using Rational ClearQuest . Ability to develop solid and maintainable automated test scripts, performance test scripts, manual test cases, test plans, and test sets . Working knowledge of the development, test, release and support processes. . Working knowledge of developing test plans, debugging/isolating problems and driving them to resolution. . Must have excellent problem solving skills and be capable of breaking down complex situations to discover and resolve root causes, this applies to both technical issues and process issues. .
