Job Description: * Strategically design and implement data warehouses, data marts, and data stores, while ensuring high levels of data availability. * Responsible for defining data standards and models for warehouse architectures. * Evaluate and select all infrastructure components such as software, hardware, database management systems and networking capabilities. * Currently hands on in data modeling design for both transactional and data warehouse/data mart system. * Able to create architectural diagrams and data architecture diagrams in great detail. Required Skills: At least 3+ years, prior experience developing Data architecture framework for a data warehouse appliance environment, prefer someone with a starter kit of leverage able data architecture designs from prior engagements * Informatica experience is required. * Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices. Hands-on experience with data architecting, data mining, large-scale data modeling, and business requirements gathering/analysis. * Excellent technical architecture and technical support documentation skills. Other Information: DESIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS: * Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. Ability to conduct research into database issues, standards and products as required. * Certifications in ETL (Informatica, Ab Initio, etc.), DBMS (Oracle, Teradatam Nettezza, etc), and/or BI Tools helpful. Working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting multi-terabyte data warehouses * Financial Industry exp.
