Need locals who can attend F2F SQL Developer/DBA with ETL exp
Duration: 4+ months Location: Edina MN SQL developer with a little DBA Need someone that has strong technical and analytical skills. Someone who has done a lot of ETL using the management tool as well via coding Someone that has supported 24X7 systems; written a lot of TSQL and understands tuning. These are probably the most important, but certainly not a comprehensive list of skills. DBA portion is a small part of the job (3 - 5%'ish) SQL versions required - most work is 2000 and 2005, but we are moving to 2008. Not looking to fill with someone demanding a senior title. Experience in a high volume environment - We don't have a lot of rows, but we get frequent updates. We have sql tables with 500K - 1 million rows that may be updated as frequent as every 3-5 minutes where the site must be running 24X7 Looking for candidates that are very close to a senior level I need seasoned professionals, but not those looking to lead or manage teams. Database Developer with a little DBA work The database developer develops and supports multiple SQL Server Databases, data feeds and stored procedures. Participate in all phases of development projects and provide support to existing client website databases. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 'Active participant in the design, implementation, documentation and maintenance of development, test and production database environments. Develop databases to support web based, high-volume transaction applications. 'Build and maintain moderately complex stored procedures in collaboration with.NET programmers. 'Develop data extracts from existing SQL databases. ' Participate in the analysis, design, development and implementation of assigned project(s). Provide both written and verbal communication on project progress, implementation, issues, and risks. 'Provide daily direction and guidance on the development, maintenance, and support standards of the database administration team. Works with DBAs to ensure standards and optimization goals are being met prior to production release. 'Performance Tuning & Optimization: Regularly evaluate and monitor databases and stored procedures to identify and resolve performance and reliability issues. 'Utilize and assist with enhancing Web Services best practices. ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES 'Proven experience in a Microsoft SQL Server environment including the use of Enterprise Manager, Query Analyzer, Profiler, and other tools as needed in a MS SQL Server suite. 'Data Transformation and Analysis in both normalized and de-normalized data environments from a wide variety of data sources. 'Experience with the development and support of web enabled database applications. 'Data Modeling: Experience with synthesizing requirements from business users and transforming them into logical and physical design using database design tools. 'Experience with support and administration of multi-database environments including SQL Clustering and various SAN storage solutions.
