Job Position: Sr. Graphic Designer Location: Boston, MA Duration: 6+ Months contract Job Description: * The candidate will be prototyping and developing web page designs for handoff to organizations internal development groups. In addition, the person will be developing smaller scale microsites for shorter timeline projects. * Lead the execution of all templated-branded communications; ensuring consistency, accuracy, timely delivery in a manner that is within the branded visual language and communication guidelines. * Responsible for implementation of design standards on production projects as specified by the organization Visual/Brand guidelines/templates and the Production Design Manager and Creative Directors. * Responsible for accurate, timely, and efficient job production within the group and communicating any deliverable delays to Manager and appropriate team members. * Good interpretation of design principles and verbal direction and elements such as graphics, photography, balance, typography, and color. * Possess solid knowledge of the printing process. * Able to work on multiple projects and to prioritize work. Preparation of accurate computer files, including templates and mechanicals. * Coordination with Production Designer Manager, Print Production and Traffic, and all other team members. Managing project schedules, deadlines & deliverables in coordination with Traffic. * Adhering to all design/studio protocols, proper file structure, file naming, creative workflow, project close-outs, standards for releasing projects, SmartPath use, etc. Qualifications: * Degree or Diploma in Graphics Design or related field * 7+ years experience in In Design, Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, and MS Word. * This person will need to be fluent in CSS and HTML development. * Expertise with translating flat designs from static PhotoShop or Illustrator files us a must. * Strong experience with JavaScript implementation, and Flash development experience would be a plus. * All candidates will need to have experience working with a creative / design group and will need to provide a portfolio of work to illustrate this experience.
