The best photographs relating to each of our twelve themes will be turned into desktop wallpaper. The 12 best photos will then be turned into a calendar for 2010. The best three photos from each category will be displayed at our web site. There are no barriers any one can participate. Any one who can click a snap, make a digital image can participate, the photograph / the image must be fully produced by you and belonging to you. The first prize winner gets a 4 days free stay in Goa for two. The stay includes accommodation all meals, one day sightseeing tour and an evening Boat Cruise. The tickets to and from Goa are not included in the prize. The categories are: *Beaches* *Tourist Attractions* *Monuments* *Nature* *Entertainment* *Towns, villages and cities.* *Travel* *Shopping* *Party* *Festivals* *Weddings* *Sports* The above twelve categories are very broad. However, we're keen to stress that; as far as possible, photos should say “holiday” in some way. Rules. - The participant must have produced the digital images entered in competition. The major part of the image must have been captured photographically, either digitally or with the help of any computer software. Other photographic images by the same participant may be combined to create a new composite image. Artwork by the participant may be introduced as long as it does not become the dominant feature of the image. - Participant may submit a maximum of two (2) digital image files. Digital image files shall be titled with each word separated by an underscore. The name of the file should contain the name of the participant. E.g.; your_title.jpg Use only alphanumeric characters for titles. - The digital images are evaluated on the basis of (1) IMPACT, (2) COMPOSITION. (3) TECHNICAL QUALITY, and (4) SUITABILITY for the specific category entered. The decision of the judges will be final and cannot be disputed. - The participant by entering in to this contest declares and agrees that he/she has full authority to use the photograph/ digital images and no other person; entity has any claim of ownership over the photographs/images entered by him in this competition. The participant by entering the photograph/ images in the contest allows and authorizes Goaguides to use the photographs / images entered for use in any way Goaguides pleases.
