Background Client has been using the Personnel Administration System (PAS) for the last ten years at Headquarters to manage all assignments and staff information. PAS uses an MSAccess front end, with a SQL Server 2000 backend and all data is held in the ClientHR database. Field offices have no PAS access to enter data and have no reporting information. Headquarters has to process all entries of staff and assignment information into the system. All information required from the field must be sent to HR and then entered into PAS, which causes a considerable burden on HR staff and delays the entry of field information into PAS. The goal of this project is to allow data entry and access to staff and assignment information to all field offices via a Web interface. II. Statement of Work Client is seeking an experienced ASP.Net programmer to write a Web based user interface front end, based upon the ITS project plan, to be used by field staff to duplicate and expand the functionality provided in PAS. This functionality includes the creation of assignments and the entering of staff information by staff located in field offices. Assignments and staff can then be linked to create a relationship between assignments and staff for a period of time. This application will be linked to the SQL Server database located at Headquarters. Therefore, information entered in the field will be immediately available to Headquarters and other field offices. The day-to-day supervisor for this position and administrative and technical assistance will be provided by other ITS staff as necessary. Initially this work assignment will be for three months, with a possible extension of six to nine months. III.
