Create System Level Designs. Works collaboratively across teams (Network Operations, Software Development, Software Architecture, Infrastructure Engineering) to ensure that the architecture and design implemented is supportable, reliable, efficient and meets the Operational requirements for Performance and Availability. *REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:*** •*Must have strong Oracle PL/SQL programming skills**.* •Must have strong *SQL skills**.* •Understanding of Data Modeling techniques and best practices. •Excellent communication skills. •In-depth knowledge of relational database design and database management systems. •Data warehousing experience preferred. •Experience with Oracle Clinical preferred. •Experience with medical device industry preferred Serve as the primary PL/SQL developer. This person will *lead development, working closely with existing PL/SQL developer, QA group and project analyst to develop PL/SQL packages and procedures, primarily for ETL**.* •Not just a heads-down coder. Expect critical thinking to ensure requirements are fully aligned with code. •*Provide mentoring* and knowledge transfer of PL/SQL skills to existing staff •Work with Business Analysts to understand the business requirements •Compare existing code with requirements and identify discrepancies. •Provide technical work estimates and task breakdown. •Participate in peer code reviews and provide support to QA during the test/migration process •Follow all standard operating procedures. *Experience:* * •* 5+ years experience with Oracle PL/SQL •Knowledge of relational database theory •Experience with *Oracle 9i/10g* •Experience with MS Windows platforms. •Experience with Toad.
