The opening requires hands on experience with Oracle support in SAP environment in addition to the above skills. It is located in Union Beach, NJ. Our Direct Client has a Full Time opportunity at their Union Beach, NJ facility working as Oracle DB Administrator in SAP environment. This position is responsible for the support, maintenance, performance and overall health of Oracle database infrastructure within the SAP complex. It interfaces with other groups in ITS, Local IT BSC and Help Desks. The scope of projects that s/he leads may include cross- functional participation. Key Responsibilities: • Responsible for day to day administration, support, and monitoring of Oracle databases in a large SAP environment. • Provide technical support - troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade and provide solutions for Oracle issues, proactively seek out ways to improve performance and streamline environment. • Develop standards and processes for support of environment to be used by Technical Operations in support of operational monitoring. • Ensure availability of standby servers, participate in Disaster Recovery tests. • Manage projects using standard project management techniques. Requirements Essential: Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field. - 5-7 years hands-on experience providing Oracle support in an SAP environment. - - Experience supporting large Oracle databases not less than 500GB. - Excellent knowledge of Oracle versions 9i and 10g. Experience with Uni operating systems. - Aggressive in following up on problems. Well organized and self- motivated. - Good communication skills. Preferred: Experience with Window and Linux operating systems. Previous project management experience.
