Position: Oracle DBA
Summary:
Senior Oracle DBA to assist the team with server builds and upgrades as part
of data center migration projects.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Experience/Skills Required:
- 10 + years experience in Oracle Database Administration
- Oracle database installation, configuration, tuning and troubleshooting on
versions Oracle 9i and 10g.
- Database Backup and Recovery solutions including RMAN, Backup Scripts.
- Telecommunications Experience (i.e. Billing, Service Order, WorkFlow,
Provisioning, Repair, Call Center, MDR, and IDSS) a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Data center consolidation
- Server builds/upgrades including maintenance & monitoring implementation
- Compliance reporting and audit validation
-In-depth understanding of Oracle 10g and 9i database server architecture,
concepts, features, and high-availability technologies.
-Strong experience in Oracle advanced technologies including Oracle Data
Guard Standbys, Streams, Partitioning, Spatial, Text, and RAC.
-Well-versed in UNIX, Linux and Windows platforms, system resources
monitoring.
Excellent UNIX shell scripting experience is required. Windows is plus.
-Seasoned experience in SQL scripting and PL/SQL packages and procedures.
-Good experience in database modeling, and ETL processes and tools.
-Ability to provide prompt on-call and 24x7
-Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills.
-Ability to communicate and work professionally and effectively in a team
environment.
-Team player, self-starter, and self-motivated.
-Excellent communications skills.
-Experience with Appworx and Informatica a plus
