They will be ableto demonstrate a strong track record of developing database applications forinvestment banks/hedge funds; taking high-level requirements, turning them intoa working application and then deploying that application. They will be working on a high-profile project to optimize the use of thefirm's global inventory of collateral across all locations and asset classes. Experience of the repo, securities lending or collateral management business,while not required, will be desirable and the candidate will be expected tobuild an understanding of the business model. The db will be at the center of alarge system that utilizes java in our backend servers/services, so javaexperience is essential as well. Skills Required: DB specialist with skills in relational db theory, db design, Sybase, sql,stored procs/triggers, optimization and archiving. Strong track record in developing investment banking applications. Proven ability to deliver high-quality software working in multi-person teams. Self-starter, able to take high-level requirements and convert them into aworking application. Also, experience with Java, primarily within server-side development usingSpring and unit testing frameworks. Skills Desired: Experience of Repo, Securities Lending or Collateral Management.
