Oracle 10g or higher on the Sun Solaris platform JOB DESCRIPTION: Provide support of the Oracle databases in development, acceptance and production. Monitor the Oracle databases to quickly resolve production issues. Provide direction to customer in establishing processes and procedures using industry best practices. Interface with the government Database Management Office, Development Office Managers and application developers. Provide input to the Data Modeling Architects to create a data model that addresses performance. Work with the government infrastructure teams to provide input for installation and configuration of the Oracle database. QUALIFICATIONS: Oracle Certified Associate, Oracle Certified Professional or Oracle Certified Master Oracle 10g or higher on the Sun Solaris platform (minimum of 6 years) Project Management (minimum of 3 years) Designing and implementing database maintenance, backup and recovery strategies Designing, documenting and testing application disaster recovery processes and procedures Designing and implementing data and database security policies Working experience with PowerDesigner Designing a database to third normal form and understanding the tradeoffs for performance Experience and understanding of locking model, lock modes, lock objects, processing blocking, and managing concurrency and isolation levels Installing and configuring Oracle Use of i3 for performance monitoring ** Using Oracle as a data warehouse ** Using Oracle with SAP ** -- Regards Mohan Rao 630-242-8896 ext 303 [email protected]
