Need locals Sr.Net developer experience with consumer facing apps Location: Edina, MN Duration: 6 months contract The Developer develops and supports web-based applications within a team of technical professionals. The. Developer provides support to management and clients by participating in the design, development and delivery of multiple mission-critical web applications. The Developer participates in projects from design to deployment to support, utilizing past experiences and proven methodologies in hands-on development and support. The Developer works in a team environment, utilizes data modeling tools, refines business requirements, provides written design documents and written test plans. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Participate in the design, implementation, documentation and maintenance of development, test and production .NET environments. Develop objects, framework, and common code bases to support web-based, high-volume transaction applications; Work collaboratively with the DBAs to create stored procedures; Participate in the identification, project planning, analysis, design, development and implementation of assigned project(s); Provide both written and oral communication on task progress, issues, and risks to technical leads and Project Manager; Evaluate and monitor databases and stored procedures together with DBAs to identify and resolve performance issues; Assist in developing test plans and work with QA to complete testing findings and perform component and integration testing; Work within the team framework, utilizing tools like Team Foundation Server (TFS); Document technical aspects of project; Works in a team environment, sharing responsibilities and reporting to technical leads and project managers ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES 8 yrs .Net; prefer 8+ Must have solid experience in Visual Basic or .NET (2.0 or 3.5); 2.0 is most important Experience with consumer facing apps is a must Previous experience working with SQL-Server 2000/2005 and complex stored procedures; Must demonstrate proficiency in concepts and technologies like event-driven programming, object-oriented methodology, XML based Web Services, and ASP .NET; Demonstrates architecture/object-oriented design and development experience in a .NET framework; Understands role of web servers and related software as they pertain to limitations placed on development and implementation of applications; Familiar with physical-layer hardware interfaces, higher-level OS architecture, communications technology, embedded applications, and enterprise management; Strong unit testing and integration testing experience; system testing skills a plus; Ability to move easily between multiple projects at any given time; Solid oral, written, and interpersonal communications In addition, working knowledge of the following: JavaScript ASP XML, XSLT C# WAP Macromedia/Flash CSS EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with a programming focus; 5+ years of proven development experience using Microsoft-based technologies; 2+ years of experience in developing large-scale internet applications; Strong experience in .NET development and SQL Server Not looking to fill with someone demanding a senior title. Need seasoned professionals, but not those looking to lead or manage teams.
