Please submit only suitable resumes along with Consultant’s contact info ASAP. *Job Title: **Sr. Data Modeler* *Location: **Santa Barbara**, CA* *Duration: 12+ Months* *Rate: Open* *Description: * Design and develop Data Models and Data Marts that support the Business Intelligence Data Warehouse. These models will be both physical and logical representations of the business processes of the company. They will support the analysis and reporting needs of the business users. These users will require a broad range of interaction levels; from daily recipients of static monitoring reports through to power users who will need to perform direct analysis using the Data Models through BI tools. The Data Modeler provides a vital link between the business requirements of the company and the technical implementation of the solution to support those requirements. Data Marts will have to efficiently support high volumes of new data each day that will be used to deliver information to business users via reports, dashboards, scorecards, drill-down reports, analysis tools, alert systems and other entry points. This role will work closely with the Business Analyst, ETL Engineer and other business users within the company to understand their information requirements. They will then translate those needs into effective working solutions that will represent the information clearly to the business users. *Required Skills:* · 5+ years experience designing and developing Data Marts within a Data Warehouse environment · 2+ years experience using* **Business Objects Tools (Edge, Universe Designer, WebI, Crystal) to develop solutions within a Data Warehouse environment* · Hands-on experience developing and maintaining* **high volume Data Marts including Accumulating Snapshots, Slowly Changing Dimensions and ClickStreams.* · Solid understanding of* **Data **warehousing concepts (Kimball, Inmon, etc.)* · Strong understanding of* **Dimensional Data Modeling* · Strong working knowledge of Oracle environment · Good understanding of the Agile/Scrum methodology for project management · Experience of broad range of ETL tools (emphasis on Business Objects) · Experience of* **BI Reporting tools (emphasis on Business Objects)* · Knowledge of* **Master Data Management* · Knowledge of* **SQL and Stored Procedure* development skills · Knowledge of* **Linux environment* · Knowledge of SDLC and Agile development methodologies · BA or B.Sc. in Computer Science or related field · Results oriented attitude · Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision · Good verbal and written communication skills. · Ability to work and communicate effectively with IT personnel and Business users. · Good presentation skills. · Must have a team player mentality and must realize that the *Principal Responsibilities:* *Data Warehouse* · Develop and maintain the Data Models and Data Marts that represent the company data that comes from various source systems. · Design the logical and physical data models to support the Data Marts and the Data Warehouse. · Participate in the design of the Data Warehouse staging layers and Data Marts. · Identify opportunities for analysis and reporting solutions within the company. · Participate in QA and transition of developed Data Marts to Release environment. · Participate in the development and maintenance of the Meta Data Repository *Business Intelligence* · Translate business requirements into technical Data Models and Data Marts · Understand key business drivers · Contribute to the overall development of the BI initiative within the company · Provide input and feedback to the vision of the overall BI Strategy · Communicate BI strategy and concepts to other business users *Organization management* · Clearly document all development to company standards. · Work in a small team environment and support team members where needed · Participate in establishing new standards and processes for BI · Participate in recruiting employees and consultants · Provide prioritization, planning and estimating feedback to project lead · Communicate clearly task status, progress and problems to project lead *Regards, ** Santhosh Phone: 443-458-7283***
