Job Title: Lead Teradata Business Intelligence Consultant Location: San Francisco, CA Duration: 4+ Months Rate: $DOE Description: The Business Intelligence Consultant will participate in the design, development, and implementation of customer BI solutions utilizing 3rd party BI tools. The BI Consultant also works with clients to understand, analyze, and refine the application requirements and, where needed, provides guidance on selection of BI tools and methodologies. Once the design has been validated and endorsed by future users and IT, the BI Consultant will turn it into a working and optimized application. The BI consultant will unit test and deliver the application for an integration test. The BI Consultant demonstrates a high degree of BI tool expertise and development skills. The BI Consultant may be the Lead Consultant on a project; Additional Job Description: . Must have prior implementation experience with BOBJ XI on Teradata and should be Business Objects certified . Must have 10+ years of experience with interfacing with client personnel on all aspects of the BI Team activity within the overall engagement. . Support enterprise architecture requirements and design as they pertain to the optimal deployment of Business Objects in a large scale Teradata environment. . Capture business requirements from client personnel as input into technical architecture decisions, level-of-effort estimates and schedule for deployment of BI applications. . Interface with Teradata PS Engagement Manager on planning and execution of all BI-related work streams. Be responsible for project management life cycle activities pertaining to the BI Team. . Provide hands-on support as needed to ensure that BI tasks and deliverables are produced on schedule and to quality specifications. . Development activity will include (but not be limited to) logical and physical data modeling leveraging Teradata design principles, semantic layer modeling and design, universe design and development, report design, development, testing and deployment, dashboard design, development, testing and deployment, user documentation, knowledge transfer of Business Objects best practices to client IT staff. . Candidates must possess very strong written and verbal communication skills, and be able to provide examples of requirements documentation and other client-facing deliverables if requested by our evaluation team. . Multiple phone interviews and (if practical) an onsite interview will be conducted to determine fit with our requirements. . Position is based in San Francisco, CA.. Resource is expected to be onsite fulltime during the business week. Overtime is permitted with prior approval from Engagement Manager.
